Dr. Brad Zamft joined the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation in January 2015 as a Program Officer and Fellow in the Discovery & Translational Sciences division. His work is aimed at increasing the chemical diversity of drug screens, and to study and ameliorate environmental enteric dysfunction. Brad also worked at the US Dept. of Energy's Advanced Research Projects Agency-Energy, and was an American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS) Science and Technology Policy Fellow. There, he was active in many research policy areas spanning biotechnology. During his Fellowship, Brad was a Visiting Scientist in Prof. George Church's lab at Harvard Medical School, where Brad also spent time as a postdoctoral fellow. Dr. Zamft earned his PhD in Physics from the University of California, Berkeley.
