Holistic Counseling and Comprehensive Guidance

The Centers for Educational Equity and Excellence (CE3) offers a comprehensive array of programming and specialized services that enables all students, including former foster youth, veterans, student parents, undocumented students, first-generation, low-income, adult learners (re-entry students), and transfer students to fulfill their academic, professional, and personal goals. Community and Resource Centers

The Centers for Educational Justice & Community Engagement (EJCE) at UC Berkeley is a collaborative of offices and centers that advocate for, build capacity with and dialogue among and across diverse communities. Our community engagement approach enriches the academic success of students while fostering a campus climate that honors the dignity of all people. Educational Opportunity Program

For 60 years, the Educational Opportunity Program (EOP) has been delivering the promise of Berkeley by offering a holistic counseling model that provides support designed to address the needs of first-generation, low-income and/or historically underrepresented undergraduate students in multiple areas, including: individualized academic counseling, understanding financial aid, personal guidance, and post-graduate planning. Our comprehensive support services and broad campus referral network assist students in overcoming unique challenges, achieve academic success and create a transformative educational experience.

Disabled Students’ Program (DSP)

The Disabled Students’ Program (DSP) is here to support students with disabilities in thriving at Berkeley. Undocumented Student Program

The Undocumented Student Program (USP) provides holistic support to undocumented undergraduate and graduate students. Academic counseling, immigration legal support, mental health support, financial support, fellowship opportunities, community events, and our Undocumented Community Resource Center are some of the supports available to undocumented students through USP!

Getting Into Graduate School (GiGS) Program

Getting into Grad School (GiGS) is a collaborative partnership between the Office for Graduate Diversity (OGD), and the Graduate Assembly (GA), whose ultimate goal is to encourage and prepare undergraduate UC Berkeley students to select, apply, and enroll in graduate school.

By engaging key staff and graduate student mentors with motivated undergraduates, we hope undergraduates leave the mentoring program with a better understanding of what the process entails and are inspired to pursue academic careers and create change in the future.
