The initial results of the analysis of STEM diversity programs at UC Berkeley reveal a comprehensive landscape comprising at least 118 programs, with an estimate suggesting the presence of at least 150 programs.


Programs address the multiple STEM fields. Cross-disciplinary programs denote 2 or more but not all STEM fields. STEM denotes all STEM fields.

Most programs target and benefit undergraduate students. Programs tend to benefit more populations than they target.

Disaggregated data analysis shows that URM, Women, Low-income, and First-generation individuals are most often served. A variety of diverse groups demonstrates the importance of each underserved population.
