On Campus Resources
Gender Equity Resource Center (GenEq)
The Gender Equity Resource Center, fondly referred to as GenEq, is a UC Berkeley campus community center committed to fostering an inclusive Cal experience for all, with resources and events centering women, queer & trans communities, and survivors of sexual violence.
Queer Alliance Resource Center (QARC)
A student-run organization that provides social, educational, and safer sex programming that centers the needs of queer and trans community on campus, and also acts as an umbrella organization for all active queer/trans student organizations on campus. QARC is one of the oldest student orgs on campus and one of the oldest queer student orgs across the country, and are at the forefront of this movement, fostering a culture of acceptance and celebration.
Multicultural Community Center (MCC)
A student-won, student-led space since 2007, the Multicultural Community Center strives to provide an educational space for the critical study and practice of community-based solidarity and to foster a welcoming, inclusive space for students.
Trans Student Wellness Initiative (TSWI)
The Transgender Student Wellness Initiative (TSWI) is a student-driven and community-centered program that aims to support the holistic wellness and retention of trans and nonbinary students at UC Berkeley, by distributing resources, offering free lunches for the community, and hosting community-building events.
T-Cal
T-Cal is a registered student organization (RSO) for undergraduate and graduate students that works with our campus, community, and state to advocate for transgender and gender non-conforming students.

The Sexual Orientation and Gender Advocacy Project (SOGA) seeks to improve the lives and experiences of queer and gender diverse graduate students at UC Berkeley.
LavenderCal (Staff & Faculty) - Monthly Lunches
LavenderCal is a member-based organization working to build community and belonging among all LGBTQ+ staff, faculty, postdocs, and visiting scholars at UC Berkeley, and hosts events including monthly lunches to support trans and nonbinary staff.
NorCal T-Camp
NorCal TCamp is a retreat designed to serve trans and nonbinary students by trans and nonbinary students and staff. It is a collective effort of colleges and universities in Northern California, and is typically held in Santa Cruz around the time of spring break.
UCEAP Diversity and Identity Abroad
A page on UCEAP that provides resources and guidance for students of different intersecting identities who want to study abroad, including LGBTQ+ students.

Pacific Center
Founded in 1973, Pacific Center for Human Growth is the oldest LGBTQIA+ center in the Bay Area, the third oldest in the nation, and operates the only sliding scale mental health clinic for LGBTQIA+ and QTBIPOC people and their families in Alameda County.
Trans Support Group: A weekly peer-facilitated meeting, open to anyone anywhere along the transgender spectrum. Held every Friday evening from 8-9:30pm.
Oakland LGBTQ Community Center
The Oakland LGBTQ Community Center provides a varitey of resources for transgender support including peer group support and individual counseling.

Healthcare
On campus
Trans Healthcare At UHS
Ensuring trans, nonbinary, and gender diverse students receive the highest quality care in a supportive, respectful space, the key services offered at University Health Services include appropriate cancer screening (PAPs, prostates, and more), STD screening, hormone therapy (testosterone or estrogen, testosterone blockers, etc), and coordination of care and outside referrals. UHS also has mental health providers who have experience working with transgender, nonbinary, and gender diverse students.
Trans Healthcare SHIP Benefits
SHIP Benefits for trans, nonbinary, and gender diverse students include access to gender-affirming services and hormone therapy appointments through UHS, and coverage for certain medical procedures.

Transgender and Gender Diverse Support Group

The weekly group is designed to provide a supportive space for all undergraduate and graduate students, including those who wish to explore topics related to the challenges faced by transgender, nonbinary, gender-expansive, agender, gender-diverse, genderqueer, and gender-nonconforming students. This group provides a space for students to come together in a safe, collaborative, and nonjudgmental environment. Together we will discuss a variety of topics related to being on the gender spectrum, including gender identity, intersectional identities, different aspects of transition, coming out and being out at Berkeley, navigating family of origin considerations, community resources, academic stress, relationships, sexuality, and resilience and joy.

Gender Inclusive & LGBTQ+ Affirming Housing
Trans, nonbinary, gender diverse, and queer students can request inclusive on-campus housing options and are matched with other students who have submitted similar requests.
UNITY Theme Program
The UNITY Theme Program is a residence hall floor and theme program that provides a safe, Pride-filled community for students who identify as LGBTQIA+, with gender-inclusive housing options. Students participate in an academic seminar, signature programs, experiential learning, and host the annual campus drag show.
BSC Co-Ops
Affordable, cooperative, non-profit, non-campus student housing, including themed housing for LGBTQIA+ students.

Intramural Participation Gender Policy
Trans, non-binary, and gender non-conforming students can participate in any sport in any league. If participating in a CoRec league, picking a gender is not mandatory and these individuals will not be counted towards the gender ratio. Teams will need to do their best to even out the remaining players in alignment with gender ratio requirements.

Sport Clubs are committed to creating an inclusive and welcoming environment for all individuals, regardless of race, color, religion, gender identity, sexual orientation, national origin, disability, or any other characteristic. We believe that diversity enhances the overall experience and fosters a sense of belonging within our community. We strive to provide equal opportunities for participation, leadership, and personal growth, irrespective of one’s background or identity. Our club is dedicated to providing resources, support, and an open-minded approach to ensure that every member feels included, valued, and empowered to contribute their best to each team. We are committed to continually educating ourselves and our members on issues related to diversity, equity, and inclusion, and we actively seek to create a safe space for discussions and constructive dialogue. All sport clubs marked “co-ed” are open to anyone of any identity. Other clubs can be contacted to learn more about their league’s rules on participation.

Employees and others are encouraged to report all known or suspected instances of misuse of University resources and/or known or suspected instances of improper governmental activities by University employees.
Student Advocate’s Office
A student-run office that assists students with issues regarding the University, including academic, financial aid, conduct, and grievances. The cases inform advocacy for changes in University policy that prioritize and protect students’ rights and general welfare.
PATH to Care
The PATH to Care Center leads the efforts to transform our campus into a community that is free of sexual violence, sexual harassment, intimate partner violence, and stalking through prevention, advocacy, training, and healing.

We have a wide variety of items, including crop tops, fabrics, shoes, socks, hats, scarves, sweaters, bras, swimsuits, pants, shorts, skirts, jewelry, dresses, perfume, nail polish, makeup, and gender-affirming gear like binders, Trans Tape, gaffs, packers, tape removal oil, hormone travel cases, sharps containers, and STPs.
